Having been using FitCD to generate the avs script for the file size predictor I got some pretty accurate results (using TMPGEnc). Couple of things have happened though:

1. I found that my 778Mb file got enlarged to 896Mb when burnt (using VCDEasy). Doing the muxing through bbmpeg rather than TMPGEnc has appeared to have solved that.

2. If I use VCD quality settings in FitCD and encode the quality is what I would expect. However if I use 1/2DVD quality, the generated avs script, when run through TMPGEnc, produces a *really bad* encode. The CQ_VBR was set at 28. Exactly the same setting run directly through TMPGEnc produced a good encode (but the file size has grown). Any ideas??

Cheers
