Many thanks for the advice Ren!
I sort of figured that was the case, but I guess I'm just being overly cautious so that
hopefully everything will go smoothly on my very first try (I was taught that "if you're gonna do something, do it right the first time!"
). I guess most of the
other files in that zip are probably 'source' code and such for programmer-types. I'm still curious as to what that other "MPEG2DEC_ER.dll" is supposed to be or what it's doing there, but I guess it doesn't really matter. It sure would be nice if somewhere within those other 35 files(not counting the 2 .dll's), it actually said what all that stuff was and what to do with it!
I checked the included readme and help files, but they don't say...I guess that's the drawback of intelligent programmers writing docs for silly noobs like me.
By the way, in case you or anyone else is interested, the link on avisynth.org for the MPEG2DEC2 download (as well as MPEG2DEC, MPEG2DEC3, and MpegDecoder by Nic) can be found here:
http://www.avisynth.org/index.php?pa...lorspaces#q3.3. It's under Question 3.3, about half-way down the page in the "MPEG Decoder(source) Plugins" section.
Thanks again. Hopefully I'll be posting some positive results soon, thanks to your help and others!
