Where is your XP disk
If your machine is an OEM machine, where you bought it, they should have included the disk
If not, go back and ask for it. You paid for it

Send a message via MSN to CheronAph
Uninstall the dvd writer and go here for a XP bootdisk, http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm
Or use your friends internet!

Well:
I have a similar problem. My desktop is W98SE, and the place where I purchased it is no longer in service, and the CD that was received with the computer is now all scratched and unusable. Do not ask me for the paper work, while I believa that I can find it, it will probably take me a long long time to do so, and it is of no use now because, as I said earlier, the company that sold this unite to me is gone. So I suppose that I can use the site to obtain the W98SE.
Thanks

Totonho
