according to the name I would have say that this is the one you need.
That i already have it? Do i have to change the priorty in TMPGEnc to have it work?

IF i deside to go with the flow like most of you recommend (sorry im just a "bit" stubbern ... can't stand the fact there's not just one app for all)
I would just need 3 appz.
Virtualdub for the splitting audio video?
TMPGEnc for video.
Headac3che for audio.
And Virtualdub again to join video and audio again?

I have the answer to your ac3 problem. Yes tmpgenc can handle ac3. Yes, when you formatted, you changed some stuff and made it not work again. I know because I just did the same thing and could not get ac3 to work correctly in tmpgenc anymore. I was however able to get the ac3 file demultiplexed in virtualdub and then re-encode just the audio in tmpgenc. So I knew it was a directshow issue. I found a useful tool, in this forum, called direct show filter manager. Here is the link. http://www.softella.com/dsfm/ . I then removed all ac3 codecs that were assigned to direct show with that tool. Then installed the cole2k media codec pack from this site http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...Codec_Pack.htm. After doing this, My ac3 is encoding to mp2 just like before. Also, this audio codec pack works for dts, which comes in very handy also. I am sure this will solve your issue very quickly and easily.

Except that the thread was 8 months old
Note : be carefull, usage of packs often introduces more problems that it solves. I don't know if this package allows to select which codec you want to install and which you don't, be I saw the list of what is inside and if you installed everything, you should face some problems with some source (3ivx for instance is known for handle very badly xvid and divx and sometime it is used for them, even if divx aqnd xvid codec are already present !)

Wow even after al this time someone find the answer.

After al this time i moved up a bit and im not using divx xvid and al that stuff. I have moved on to dvd's now. I have to wait a bit longer but the quality is unmatched.

But thanks anyway!

NOTE: I agree with Dailshot. Codecpacks are one of the worst things u can do to your system. Just download the codecs you need separetly.
Just use GSPOT to find out what you need and install only that.
