hey man i have another question... i hope its OK
i used TPGENC plus to convert avi file XVID +MP3 with subs to standart VCD (MPEG-1) with the wizard i turned PAL
the original avi is 23.976fps and pal is 25fps
the mpeg that turned out is choppy : it looks good but every 2-3 seconds the picture "stucks" a little bit
what is that ??? please advise !

That is simply a "Tmpgenc let you think it can do a lot of things but it never pretends that it does them correctly" !
There are a lot of things in this category : resizing, audio encoding, noise reduction... and framerate changing !

You must use an avisynth script if you need such things.
