Ok here is the deal
I want to fit 139 min onto 1 cd kvcd with decent - good quality and it should be around 700 -800 mb.
I have encoded the movie before and the file size came up to a 1.06 gig.
I know how to make a kvcd manually.
I usually use the template 528 * 288?
I loaded the template
VBV Buffer size is 40
Rate Control is CQ_VBR
The settings were 1150 max and 300 min
I put the quality on 10
Aspect Ratios 1:1 [VGA]
Frame Rate 29.97 fps
Motion Estimate Search
I need help on the things that i did wrong. Can you guys help me in any way?
I thgoutht the file was goin to be aiite but then it wasnt
And
P.S. If you multiplex with TMPGEnc and the Type is MPEG-1 System Auto, does that mean u cant burn it with nero if it is over 700?
Thanx
Pc out

Read about file size prediction, and/or CQMatic, on the corresponding forum.

You must mux as VCD Non-Standard.
Then Nero will let you burn it.

CQ is better for 352x480 and higher resolutions.
For 352x240 and lower, CQ_VBR is better.

Believe me, you don't want to ask that
Try here http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....light=cq+cqvbr
Now don't go saying that we didn't warn you
Sorry for the joke but I don't think we ever got to any conclusion.
Else others will tell you by posting here too, but I always used CQ.
Cheers

@kvcdman,
Be prepared to have a big coffee mug by your side, if you plan on reading the 40+ pages of that link.
( However, it's very interesting )

Hi Phil ),
Yes, lately I've been reading some posts with very interesting/intriguing template names and resolutions.
I sure would like to know if someone else has a page with new KVCD templates or anything.
Otherwise where are these coming from.
Or could those be just typo's as you said?
Cheers
