Hey

Merry Christmas all btw!!

I do like CQMatic I am using RC2 version and am trying to do Starship Troopers DVD I can get it all done and encoded but its doesn't seem to be coming out at full capacity of a dvdr, i have calculated using calcumatic with 4.70gb and audio etc... btw I am doing an AC3 audio if that makes a difference but basically my output is coming out after muxed with bbmpeg at only about 3.85gb? surely i should be able to get at least another 500mb out of a dvdr? or am i missing something.
I used no mux in calcumatic too btw.

anyone explain this?

Thank you.

Redo the prediction (onmy) and see if the value found a far from the one you used for the complete encoding.

New CQMatic uses a random sample to find the CQ and the CQ find is never exactly the same.

If the new value is significantly over the one that was used, then reencode your movie with this value. You should be very close to your target this time.

Hi Adder,

And get the 1.4.00 release instead of RC-2.
