Hey guys.

In the last time, I was often on doom9.org and see some new tools like DVD2AVI. In the past, I always use DVD2AVI 1.76 because it was always compatibel with my AviSynth version. But now I see there are really good new tools which can doo the same.
What you can recommend?

I see DGIndex which is very fast and compatibel with HCE and my latest AviSynth version.
And what is with DGMPEGDec von neuron or the new DVD2AVI version?

The DVD2AVI 1.77.3dg version I don't like.

Hope you can help me out.

This one already exist a long time and its called "DGMPGDec" package (or decodefix before).

http://www.neuron2.net/dgmpgdec/dgmpgdec.html
There you can read WHAT has been changed. But be aware that this DGindex generates a quite different d2v file format, so some few apps. which do parse d2v files do not support it.

That's not the point because I use this only with AviSynth and HC Encoder and with this programms it works.

So you recommend DGMPGDec?

Should I use the beta version or the stable?

If you use the latest Avisynth beta (from 5th May), you must use the latest beta of DGDecode. Otherwise, DGDecode v1.3.0 works just fine, but I haven't had any problems with 1.3.1b5 either.

Just make sure you use DGIndex and DGDecode.dll from the same package.

And be sure to remove Mpeg2dec3.dll from your avisynth plugin directory !
DGIndex is the new name for DVD2AVI, and DGDecode.dll is the new name for Mpeg2dec3. SO you can't have both in the directory (except if you use DGDecode_Mpeg2source() in your script like I do).
