surround.

Yes it is. Surround is a special encoding of a stereo stream that will be decoded by the DPL processor to produce the "surround" channels. But technically, it is stereo.

How do you convert your audio to mp2 ?

Okay so then, what is the source format ?

If it is mp3, and the mp3 wasn't created with surround information, you won't have it. If the mp3 hs the surround, the mp2 will have them also.

If it is ac3 5.1, then headache can be configured to encode the surround information (click twice on the option button to open Azid configuration pannel, and select "Surround" as "Downmix type").

Surround is if you have a DPL decoder on your amp. surround2 is for DPL II. And always select 6ch else the tools applys filters on some channels and this is not really good.

There is no more true VCD player now. DVD standalone don't have the slightest use of this extension. It's true that it was part of the VCD standard, but it's History.
