I have a problem capturing with VDUB. In general the SW is working well but I am limited to 352 x288. Each time I want to increase the resolution I got the message"Not supported resolution." It does not matter which codec I am using Huffy, uncompressed, Microsoft..... On the other hand I am able to capture with Ulead Video Studio and my WinTV application of my WIN TV GO card even at higher esolutions. I do not understand this situation. Any advise for me???

By the way my machine is a 1300 MHz AMD Duron and I am running WIN 2K, but anyway this problem is not related to my HW, I am almost sure.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

Hi Kwag,

thanks for the info, but with this driver VDUB is not working at all. I do not know if I have a special system.

Regards

Werner

Hi wpeter01,

I'm using WinXP and I also have a WinTV GO card. It works fine with Vdub.

Hi Kwag,

I have tried to re-install your recommended driver. Maybe my problem is that I have chossen the wrong driver from the list. I have the BT88x chipset which I could not find in the list. I have chosen BT848 and 878 but after reboot I see a problem in the device Manager. The "Connexent's BtPCI WDM Capture Driver" is installed now. Which chipset do you have with your TV Go card and which driver have you selected??

Thanks Werner

Hi Werner,

My chipset is BT-878. I selected default installation. I guess it uses internal BT-878 generic drivers.

I re checked my hardware again and I found out that I do not have a BT chipset but a Conexant 881 chipset. My WIN TV GO card is just a few weeks old and according to Hauppauge all new cards are produced with conexant chipset. Any idea how I could overcome my resolution problem???

Thanks

Werner

I think your card uses this chipset: http://www.prolink.com.tw/new_web/pr...a/xcapture.htm
Try to download a driver from that site, and see if it works on your card.

@Kwag

You are right, the chip is the same, but it did not worked on my card either. I read in an article that WIN2K causes sometines trouble with the wdm driver, so do you think XP could solve my problem?

I am actually close to give up this activity, so I may have to use my WIN TV Go application for capturing to the desired resolution and afterwards work with VDUB.
