Only about 35 minutes of a standard svcd can fit on a 700mb disc. For about 60 minutes of mpeg2 quality use the skvcd template. The amount you can fit on a cd also depends on if its widescreen or fullscreen. For DVD2svcd, Kwag has not yet made a template for skvcd or other templates beside the lbr template. You will have to load the skvcd and other templates manually into tmpengc.

LadyMiles,
Look at the DVD2SVCD section for kwags comments. You can do high res with a little tweaking.

LadyMiles,
I've encoded 3 movies so far with that technique and using 2 CDs. The quality is great The only problem I've noticed is that when burning with VCDEasy it wants to add padding. So I have to demux/remux with TMPGenc to fix it. Be sure to check the GOP and set to Kwags spec before using FitCD parameters.
