Hi jorel,

Load the original lbr .ini file that I had posted, and change the GOP to 1-12-2-1-24, manually make the BETA-1 "notch" matrix changes, and chahge to CQ mode. Then save your new lbr .ini file.

Here are the changes on the matrix:

Code:
8 6 8
6 7 10
8 10 14
Those changes are on the far left top of the matrix.

Kwag,
i encode with the "news" .
change only this :
gop, matrix and cbr in the script
and compare (the same film) with the "olds"

the new is not too good as the old.

less size in the new encode but,the image "smokes".
when someone turn the face, seems "ondulations" in the face
and in all movimentations.

what could be?

but:
"the new is not too good as the old."

i do something wrong?

i "turn" the rate control mode to: automatic vbr (cq_vbr),
reencode again......seems better!

i forgot something?

thanks in advance!

If you're encoding 352x240, CQ_VBR is better. Over that resolution, go CQ
If you're going to compare a clip made with CQ and another one made with CQ_VBR, be sure that they are both the same size before you judge the quality
