A few days ago I've streamed the movie "The Land Before Time VIII" from Premiere (PPV). The outcoming stream is mpeg2. But when I open DVD2AVI and preview the stream the frametype changes almost every second from interlaced to progressive and vise versa. I've streamed a lot of movies before but this is the first one with changig frametypes.

How do I encode this stream?

Should I set an "deinterlace Filter" in tmpeg? But then what happens with the already deinterlaced frames?

Can somebody tell me which programs and settings I should use for this?

Use an Avisynth script with Donald Graft's decomb.dll.

The readme has sample settings for hybrid stuff like this.
