hi jorel,
bob's pager# is 867-5309- just kidding just put the line bob() in your script or u can use FieldDeinterlace() which is in the Decomb plugin (by Neuron from Doom9 )

hi jorel,
you don't have to download it. Bob() is a deinterlace filter built into AviSynth, see this link http://www.avisynth.org/index.php?page=Bob

jorel,
The most popular Avisynth plugins for deinterlacing seem to be FieldDeinterlace (as ren mentioned) and TomsMoComp. TomsMoComp is supposed to be really good for pure interlaced material. I've been using it with very good results on my DV camera transfers with the following parameters:
TomsMoComp(0,5,1)
The first parameter specifies field order (0=bottom first, 1=top first). Don't go above 5 on the second one (the author mentions that it can produce artifacts). You'll probably want to read the docs for the third one.
You can find this plugin in the Download section of Doom9. It's in the Filters section (you might need to choose "show all").
Good luck...

Yes, I prefer FieldDeinterlace over Bob as stempy sad.
I've been using it for some time with great results, but I also read a lot of TomsMoComp. I think that's time to experience this filter. Let's see...
