Never use the Nimo Codec Pack ....it does evil things to many peoples' computers, even after uninstalling it. It's best to download and install your codecs separately, and only if/when you really need them. For example, don't install the xvid codec if you don't currently use it or foresee a need for it in the future. Codec packs might seem like a great idea because they supposedly give you everything you could ever need in one tidy package, but they also seem to give people headaches more often than not. Good luck.

Thanks for your recommendation about the Ace Mega Codecs Pack SIRCOOKS, but I'm really not into divx/xvid/etc files so I really don't have a need for it myself. Actually, the only codec that I even have installed right now that didn't come within a program or my OS is divx 5.0something, and I've used it exactly 1 time to view 1 divx file in about 9 months! So as you can see, it just "ain't my bag".

Regards,
