Hey just set the destination res to 1/2 DVD to get 352x576 (if the source is NTSC then you need to check 'Format conversion')

Great guide ren!
I'm just wondering why the frame around the filters groups are not showing in your screenshots...

With regard to the 'Destination' resolution setting, in order to get the 120mins on one 80min CD wouldn't the resolution have to be down near the 352x240 (VCD) range? (in order to maintain a decent CQ anyway)
Thanks,

Now, I managed to have decent results with the 1/2DVD res (352*480).
I raised a little the parameters of some filtering (Mergeluma(blur(0.2)) for instance), lower the min video rate to 64 Kbs and encode the audio to 112.
Don't remeber the exact CQs but they were above 60 (that's the minimal value I accept to use, below that I switch to a 90min CD ou 2 80min CDs).

Hi: I have a few questions.
- What is the difference between resize and overlap?
- How letterbox (when overlap) work?
- Often letterbox parameters are 8,8,8,8. Is it same (for encoding) than 0,0,16,16
- If I select 0,0,16,16, must I change any other values? (in lanczosresize or addborders)
- Must I select resize or overlap, using "error" like guide?

When I change in blocks tv overscan settings from resize to overlap, Aspect Ratios error change too. Must I to select method that give me less error value?

If you keep with the "accurate" method (which I recommend), you never have to worry about error value. MovieStacker will calculate the crop and resize to keep the error low enough that you will never notice the difference.
If you don't want to use the accurate method, try to keep the error below 1%. Above that, the error label will turn red. Although I think you can go until 1.5% without much problem.

I greatly suggest you to keep also an eye on the "Crop" zone.
Sometimes, in accurate mode, and in order to maintain the error as low as possible, Movistacker doesn't hesitate to cut more than 16 pixels on any side !
That's a lot... Keep that in mind.

Do you really think that 16 pixel is that much?
Well, may be with DivX it is... but with a DVD source (720x???) I don't think that is too much.
But you are 100% right. MovieStacker will cut whatever is necessary to preserve the aspect ratio (in the accurate mode).
