if you need to de-interlace , there is a filter in tmpgenc that will do let you choose the type of de-interlace to apply--blend, even field, etc,,,,

Setting, Advanced, DeInterlace (none)
it'll say none until you select a de-interlace style, if your movie is interlaced.

I don't know which type is the correct one; there are so many to select.

Take a look here: http://www.whdl16709.pwp.blueyonder....nverttovcd.htm

Scroll down a little until you get to the deinterlace section.

I have followed the guide you provided, still no luck. I don't think I have to check "enforce film" in DVD2AVI because it shown as NTSC, right? I can see those "comb-like" effect even when I preview in DVD2AVI. What's wrong?

hey syk,

Have you tried the decomb filters for AviSynth? Download decomb.dll and read the help file. FieldDeinterlace works great for me.

The help file's post here too: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....d59683259f54a1
