I'm trying to convert a SVCD to KVCD and the resolution is 480x480. Using the 528x480 template would be silly because I'm not gaining any more resolution, but will get less CQ.

And I don't want to drop down to a lower resolution.

Thanks!!

audi2honda,

Use the 528x480 template and change the resolution of the template. But remember that results won't be as good as if you're doing a full DVD backup.

When I load the 528x480 template in TMPGEnc the resolution box is greyed out and I can't change it. Am I doing this right?

audi2honda,

After loading the template, load the "unlock" template, you can find it on the TMpgEnc extras templates folder. This will unlock many settings.

audi2honds..

Another tip, is to right-click the Field's name, (not the actual field) and then
select the 'unlock' in the pulldown. I got that one from Kwag, after
reading during my casual browsing around. Works under v2.520, but I
don't know about the lower versions, but it won't hurt to try.
