I tried to convert one of my DivX (DVD -> DivX using Gordian Knot and co.) files to KVCD using TMPGEnc. When I load a KVCD template and open the avi file and start conversion, TMPGEnc reports the length of my AVI file incorrectly. (If I open the AVI using VirtualDub, it reports the length of movie correctly) It is more than double of the actual length of the movie. And, the conversion keeps on goin even after conversion is done (i.e beyond the length of movie). Do I need some kinda AVI plugin for TMPGEnc?

If I open the same AVI file with TMPGEnc by using a AVS script. It works fine without any problem (the duration is correct and conversion succeeds without any problem). What could be the problem?

I noticed that some other ppl hava had the same problem.

PS. I know there are softwares like ACP to convert AVI easily with only a few clicks. I just wanna know how to use TMPGenc

Thanks for your help.

I think the MP3 in your Video is in VBR. Extract it with VDUB and encode it with HeadAC3he to MP2.
