Hi Guys

I've been using TMPGEnc for many months now to convert my DVD Rips into xVCD format and in most cases have ended up with normallt pretty good results using a slightly modified "standard" template.

Here's my normal settings for converting a NTSC Film in 2:1 to a single VCD ......

Template = NTSC Film
Input Format = 2:1
Output Format = 16:9 NTSC
Sharpen Image = 60 on both sliders
Clip Frame = Keep original aspect

I then use the fit-to-cd option to ensure that the film fits onto one 80min CD.

The above normally gives very good results (Depending on the length of the film) but I thought I'd give the Kwag templates a go to see if I can improve the shortcomings such as the occasional blockiness in action scenes or dark/misty shots.

I've downloaded the "NTSC - Plus(704x480)" template, loaded it into TMPGEnc, unlocked it and then saved it.

The problem I have is that when using this template an 85 min film, TMPGEnc reports that the resulting file is about 4GB in size .

I'm probably overlooking the obvious and I apologise if this is already covered in an FAQ, but does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?.

One other thing - When viewing the vid through the clip frame option, selecting the "Keep Aspect Ratio" looks very different to using the standard template - Prob something to do with the resolution !?

Cheers
