is the DVD Interlaced or Progressive?

I would want to know like making in order to know if a dvd it is interlaced or progressive?

the dvd is ripped in hd?
if don't ,do it!
load the vobs(ripped)in dvd2avi,

MOVE TO A FST MOVING SCENE USING DVD2AVIs slider below and watch if its interlaced (combing) or not! If its combed = 29.976 NTSC Interlaced, if its not combed = 23.976 NTSC Progressive and that means check "Force film" in DVD2AVI.

As told, do not only take notice of the statistics window:

MOVE TO A FST MOVING SCENE USING DVD2AVIs slider below and watch if its interlaced (combing) or not! If its combed = 29.976 NTSC Interlaced, if its not combed = 23.976 NTSC Progressive and that means check "Force film" in DVD2AVI.

Jorel you know that what is said by DVD2AVI can't be trusted ! You have actually this problem in this thread :

The only tool to know if a DVD is interlaced or not are YOUR EYES.

You open the vobs in DVD2AVI, you drag the cursor and you watch if you see any comb effects.

I have understood.
Yesterday, I have tried 2 dvd (pal) and dvd2avi he brought back that they were interlaced.
as dialhot said in an other post that 90% of the dvd are progressive, has come to me a doubt.
This evening I will try to house in order to see if they are interlaced or not.

The fact is simple :

- a movie is shot in 24 im/s and when the producers make the master for doing a DVD they just speed up the framerate to 25 im/s. In NTSC zone they use 23.976 progressive and set the pulldown flag on because a standalone request a DVD to be in 29.970 interlaced.
