It looks good, seems to read avi and mpg ok. Lets me output to various formats, including a kvcd noth matrixed vcd (are there any credits to kwag?). Produces very fast results that SEEM ok (did once (in 5 tests) produce an unreadable mpg file).
Interestingly - the file that failed was a straight encode to kvcd. One of the files that succeeded was using mencoder as a requantiser set to ultra high division (6meg mpg down to 1 meg mpg). (i didn't know mencoder *could*
be used like that).
Havn't tried it, but it looks like it does cutting and audio as well.
All in all, an interesting program.
Scale of 1-10 (poor-best):
If there was no mencoder, and none of you guys' guis, 7/10
If there was mencoder, and none of you guys' guis, 5/10
With mencoder and the guis available, 4/10
(These are subjective ratings, based on me being on winxp, and the usability to ME of this program. Not a comment on the program as such, just an overall opinion)
Those on linux will get better use, and those with different uses to me (on xp) may get better use.
I'd suggest you look at it; be prepared for a 'fun' installation.
To help, go to the windows foum, goto the page with the split 5 file french texted files (get the five rar files - inside is an installer). Then goto the win32 sub directory of the main page and get the latest update to the main file. This worked for me....
