Hi,
I posted over at DVDRHelp.com a couple of days ago, no response yet. Here's what I posted. Anybody here have any suggestions? I found a DVD+/-R sampler at supermediastore.com or someplace...

Thanks a lot Sh0dan. I also have DirectX 9.0 now, so no option there. However, adding ConvertToRGB24() to the end of the script does indeed seem to have taken care of the problem. This will allow...

Solarization using MPEG2DEC3.DLL with Avisynth 2.5

All,
I had a solarization issue some time ago when using Windows 98 or Win2K and Avisynth 2.0 that I resolved with the fix described in the FAQ. I am now using Windows XP SP1 and have upgraded...

Kwag,
For me the discussion of MAX P frames raises another question. The numbers we're talking about are for 24fps encodes. What if you are (as I am doing for playing on Apex) changing the framerate...

Yes, I suspect that is correct, but proper media appears to be very important according to posts in this forum. The Toshiba appears to be able to play the templates as well, according to the...

Toshiba SD-2800 compatibility

Hi,
I just picked up a Toshiba SD-2800 to replace my Apex 1100W. I had originally gotten a Sony NS-300, but returned it for the Toshiba after it wouldn't play KVCDs at 24fps, or even the 30fps ones...

As VCD, VBR, set the mux rate to 0. Everything else is left alone as is. Weird.

Geoff

UPDATE
Umm... I think I figured this out... I was (unnecessarily) entering a setting in the SIZE for the...

Re: Output file size not changing when using lower bitrate a

Yes. You didn't IVTC your capture.

-kwag[/quote]

Kwag,
Yeah, but that was intentional. I can't use 24fps with my Apex, so I encoded at 29.97fps. How is it possible that muxing the same video...

Output file size not changing when using lower bitrate audio

Hi,
I have encoded a capture of The Deer Hunter at 29.97fps in TMPGEnc with the KVCD Plus 352x480 template. I tried muxing the first 94+ minutes with bbMPEG using the DVD2AVI generated MPA file at...

Re: Audio out of synch when muxed with 3:2 pulldown(ed) MPEG

Well, that worked for the synch (mux as SVCD, not MPEG-2), except now when I burn the CD as SVCD the video slows down periodically, every couple of seconds, but audio is unaffected. Burning as VCD...

Audio out of sync when muxed with 3:2 pulldown MPEG-1

Hi,
In reading another thread Kwag noted that pulldown.exe does indeed work on MPEG-1 video streams. So, since my Apex 1100W doesn't like 24fps MPEG-1 I tried it. It *does* work, no more skipping...

Hmm, I didn't think that 3:2 pulldown was part of that process, because my understanding was that the MPEG stream itself had to support 3:2 pulldown. In this case the stream is still MPEG-1, even...

Re: 3:2 Pulldown wint MPEG-1?

Yeah, I wish! MPEG-1 doesn't support 3:2 pulldown. No way to trick it to do so either, as far as I know. This would be nice since my Apex doesn't like Kwag's templates with 24fps.

I posted this over in the Video Capture area on an existing thread, but it probably belongs here anyway. If anyone has any thoughts on this, I'd appreciate some input.

Isn't this a great "hair pulling" topic
This is what I did, as an example, from a captured clip.
I captured an anamorphic DVD "The Green Mile" via S-Video with my WinTV GO...

Capture the same way you're always capturing. This way you don't loose your aspect. When you encode, add the black borders so that you are masking off the area without information completely and...

Re: Still plugging away with the RCA5240

This is exactly the sort of thing I'd like to do to make 24fps work on my Apex 1100W. However, my understanding is that MPEG-1 does not *support* 3:2 pulldown, so that can't be applied here, *even...
