here are a few ideas...

You can bump up the minimum bit rate to 550, max to like 2300, vbv buffer maybe to 48. Encode the movie to the bit rate that the source is, if 23.98 then use it or 29.97 or 25 or whatever it is at....

Screw all these other ways of doing all this..lol
All I do is select wherever I start the split at the begining of the movie and then select the cut spot, then let it go. Then don't close that...

The blocks are always going to be there I think. I have yet to see a movie WITHOUT ANY BLOCKS. :( Especially at dark scenes. It just isn't gong to happen I don't think.

352x480 4:3 and 4:3 source, if that don't work
352x480 16:9 pal and 4:3 source this really seems to make it a widescreen effect.

just set the source to either 4:3 or 16:9 doesnt matter it appears in any cause..ok

dude, you really are doing things wayyyyyyy too complicated!

Just use Smartripper to rip the dvds and then use Dvd2avi to to get your .d2v file/.wav file, and then use Tmpgenc to encode it with, using the kvcd plus template with maybe a couple modifications to...

All it does is have errors and won't copy it. I'll try one more time but I figured twice was enough..lol
Also I use vcdeasy as my vcd burner.
Maybe version 4 of easy cd creator doesn't like doing...

Well, I would have to say that with VcdEasy anyhow, You can only get 740 megs onto a cdr-80 with overburn. And about 717 megs without overburn. What are you using for your file size...
