They are owned by the same company and seem to match up w most features. They were separate products from different developers at one time, but that was a while back. Is there now any difference between them?

I think it mostly comes down to the GUI and user interface. I personally prefer Replay Media Catcher, of the two.

Applian bought WM Recorder from the original developer sometime in 2009, from what I recall. Applian is the original developers of Replay Media Catcher, however. I get emails from them regularly, about new version releases and company updates. I'm on their press list.
