B&H Photo and Video, a well-respect professional video/photo/audio store, has a refurbished JVC D-VHS deck for $119 plus shipping (~$20, probably, via UPS). The are the often-revered D-VHS models, complete with the full range of filters and TBC features found in the high-end JVC S-VHS line.
