I've been using the black version of the AVT-8710 for a few years (purchased in 2015) from
B&H, seemingly without issues (no ghosting, frozen frames, glitching, etc.) and decided to convert my wife's archive of VHS tapes that we just acquired.
The first 10 or so transferred cleanly but now I'm getting the ghosting everyone has discussed here on these forums due to the inherent flaw in the chipset of the 8710.
As such, I'm looking for either of these two popular TBCs (as is everyone else, I know).
