Most TBCs are now gone, but still a few nice models to choose from.

This gear is getting harder to locate, harder to refurbish. At some point, I will be out of stock, and probably for an extended period. I would advise you to get while I got it!
FUTURE NOTE:
- Truly working TBCs are becoming scarce.
- Beware of pathetic "tested" (not tested) or "working" (not working) TBCs on eBay. Seeing LED lights is not a test, nor is seeing any random quality image output. Those eBay sellers know * nothing* about TBCs, as they're all resellers now. They think they found a brick of TBC gold at a garage sale, but it's non-working fool's gold for suckers. The sad tales of bad eBay buys gets worse all the time, chronicled on the pages of this forum.
- So if/when I run out of TBCs, be careful about running to eBay. Wait for marketplace sellers here. VHS is a defunct format, and you've already waited decades to convert it. Don't be in a rush to "convert it now" when quality gear is not currently available. It will be. Patience!

Do you know if the COM WORLD CMD-1200 has a TBC inside it? Just thought I'd ask here since I found one recently at a thrift store. Thanks again.

No, not necessarily. The CW units are another item that had recycled model numbers, with most units lacking TBC. If it's like $20 or less at a thrift store, buy it, try it. Worst case is you lost $20. But I'd not waste $50 or more on it, as that bet is not in your favor. And actually, even being in a thrift store is not a good sign, for various reasons.

Thank you for letting me know, I paid around $9 for it. I'll give it a try and see what it does. It's still in its plastic wrap and seems to have never been used.
