I bought this deck from Lord Smurf himself a few months ago to convert some old S-VHS tapes to digital. This is a professional deck with a built-in TBC. The unit has some blemishes, but the inside has been cleaned spotless (click link below for pictures)! Deck works beautifully!

I did not receive a remote with the unit. It isn't necessary for operation, but I did manage to use a Logitech Harmony universal remote, and also noted you can find remotes online.

I am asking $375, which is what I paid for it, + shipping. (I paid $44 for shipping - it's a heavy unit).

Thanks for looking ,
Mark

JVC SR-MV40 Pics

-- updated --

This is a JVC Professional SR-MV40 Super VHS/DVD Recorder. I bought this deck from Lord Smurf himself a few months ago to convert some old S-VHS tapes to digital, so be assured it is a quality deck. This is a professional deck with a built-in TBC. The unit has some blemishes, but the inside has been cleaned spotless (click link below for pictures) and the deck works beautifully!

I did not receive a remote with the unit, but the remote isn't necessary for operation. I was able to use a programmable Logitech Harmony universal remote. JVC remotes can also be purchased on eBay.

I paid $375 + shipping three months ago. I am selling for $325 including shipping.

Thanks for looking ,
Mark

I believe that's one of my B+ decks, excellent for transferring SP tapes.

The remote is required to access the menus. Get the JVC RM-SDR013J or JVC RM-SSR005U from eBay. Unlike VCRs, remotes are usually reliable from there. As I always explain, remotes are essentially consumables when used professionally. The touch sensors wear out. I've lost so many over the years that I'm now sharing remotes amongst several decks.
