I feel dumb even posting this-

For the last 5 weeks
my dvd/cd burner drive door opens- over and over.

If it asks for a blank, I put the blank in- it pops it out.
again and again
it takes 5-10 tries to gt it to take the disc and keep it.

Any suggestions?

It's not liking the disc. Is it new Verbatim 16x and and older drive?

Its a brand new drive from 4 months ago, and pretty much the discs vary, I go from tayio to some ritek, sony...but always 8x. I don't erlaly come across verbatim that much for sales over here.

The drive was installed march 17th this year...not sure what is considered "older" drive.
the thing is, disc or not, it pops out over over.
If I finish burning- and the drive is empty and I close it- I push the button - it comes back out, again and again.

Which drive? Fireware may not like the disc.
I've had this error before, using CMC-plant Verbatim 16x DVD-R in my BTC.
