That's is the original brand name owned by Taiyo Yuden, before they also bought out the JVC interests in 2008. To my knowledge, That's is still readily available in Japanese markets.
I've not heard (that I can recall) any cases of fake That's media. Unlike Verbatim, which was faked in Europe several years ago, all the way down to packaging and barcodes.

The price of $24 ($USD) per 50-pack would be about right for it. A lot of the cost comes in packaging and shipment, which is why 50-packs tend to be about 2/3rds the price of 100-packs instead of half. You'd look to probably pay $30-40 ($USD) for a 100-pack, if available.
