Pioneer 206BK drive gave best burn quality
Panasonic BD-R HTL (MEI T02 (001)) was the most reliable disc when recorded at 4x or 6x. It lasted 2000 hours at 80deg C and 80% RH.

I've attached the PDF to your post.

This looks like a good read. I'll have to print it out, or copy it to my iPad sometime soon, and go over it.
(Yes, I can fumble through French. Google Translate and a dictionary can help with whatever I don't know off hand.)

And pepst, if you're lurking, feel free to chime in.

I love stuff like this. Icannot find a way to translate it though, foxit reader opens it and has no translate option.
I see the Plextor 950 drive in it, I use the 940 model, do they rate good? I also use Ritek BD-R's (burn at 2x).
With dvd-r you see skips with bad media, but with Ritek BD-R I haven't any issues, do you even see skips with BD-R's, or do bad burns show in a different way with BD-R?

To translate it, simply goto translate.google.com and select the translate document link at the bottom of the translate box. Upload the .pdf and google will work its magic for you!

The same kinds of skips and errors that can occur with bad DVD-R media, can also occur on BD-R's as well, if not more frequently since there is more in the area on a BD-R.

This was an unanswered question or unresolved issue found during a site audit. It's hard to have an FAQ when the answers are missing, or final outcomes are unknown. At The Digital FAQ support forum, questions are never intentionally ignored, and may have been missed due to a forum glitch or human error. More details on the audit. (In some cases, threads have been edited/updated with newer information.)
