What experiences has anyone had with these discs? Are they good to use?

Hi,
I've noticed a degrade in the quality of pro-disc dvd-r discs after they started making the 8x ones. Another friend of mine also tried the 16x said he had a lot of problems with them also. After pro-disc started phasing out the 4x discs, I now only use Taiyo Yuden. I would reccommend them instead.

Yeah I was not a fan of the 8x ones as well. I had some bad burns as well as just not so good experiences. Definitly went back to 4x ProDisc after that when I do use ProDisc

The bulk inkjet 8x PRODISC seem to be the problem. I used several hundred of the Fuji-branded PRODISCF01 and had no problems. TY is probably the same price, those are probably better quality anyway.

Yeah I agree I have never had a problem with the Fuji version, I have went through 300 of those when Best Buy had one of their sales. But the bulk 8x ProdiscF01 from Meritline and Supermediastore were not so good

Geez guys, I just discovered I acidentally ordered 200 of the Prodics 8X-Rs. Is there a problem with burning a 8x or are they just bad discs no matter what speed you burn at?

I burned all mine at 8x, but some people have been fine at 4x. I use a lot of them in my 4x burners too.

I have 16X speed dual layer burners. I just thought if I burned them at 4x or 6X speed that it might help my chances of getting a good burn. I really wish I would have paid attention and got the TY discs like I planned.
