Not sure if anyone can help this. I have a flashlight handle that I 3d printed and I removed the D batteries in it and wanted to use rechargeable batteries. I have a 18650 battery. It needs 4.5v. I wired that to a booster and a switch but the booster wont down regulate the voltage past 5.5V. What options do I have to get steady 4.5v?

Details needed.
You literally wire a battery by wiring a battery. Without details, not too helpful.

Well that doesnt make sense. You wire a battery by wiring a battery? Please read the post again. There is a 18650 battery in a battery holder that is wired already to a MT3608 boost module and charging module. The output voltage should be DC 4.3-27V but the screw adjustment wont reduce the voltage below 5.5V. It needs a steady 4.5V.

Hmm, odd. I replied to an old opened tab, and I didn't see the first post like it exists now. The sentence "I have a flashlight handle that I 3d printed and I removed the D batteries in it and wanted to use rechargeable batteries" wasn't there. Did you post, then edit it within the first few minutes?

I need more coffee.
