I've been a photographer for about 15 years now, a great many of those years professionally, off and on, as a freelancer and staffer. One of the photographers I've learned the most from is Rolando Gomez. He's one of the few folks I'd refer to as a mentor.

In the past 6-7 years, I spoken to him on the phone and in e-mail several times, had my portfolio reviewed by him (favorably, too, I'm happy to say!), attended a few workshops, and bought/read some of this books.

He primarily focuses on "glamour" photography, be it females nudes or clothed modeling shots. Regardless of your desired style of photo, you can learn about lighting from this guy, be it natural, editorial or under controlled conditions (flashes, light rigs, etc). Also Photoshop tricks, working with people, etc.

Right now you can learn from him too -- for FREE!
He's giving away one of his books as a free download for a limited time.

I'm not getting anything from this post, but I respect this guy enough to want to spread the word:

My fifth book is now ready for download. If you feel this book is worth something to you, please feel free to help us with two things;

1) Please tell all your friends to sign-up on our email list for a free copy of this book and for other free books, benefits and updates at http://www.freephotographybooks.com

2) Please go to http://www.freephotographybooks.com and scroll toward the bottom of the page and make a small donation to help us cover our bandwidth, server and administrative costs.

Again, thanks for all your support.

Respectfully,
Rolando Gomez
