If you are asking whether to go for a Panasonic or JVC, I would lean towards one of the panasonics as in my experience the JVC TBC can be a bit hit and miss with camcorder...

I've had a bad TBC-1000 for a while now. As of tonight, it's working. Not just working, but extremely nicely (clean image, good image values). I've outdone myself....
