It depends on the chip the player has? I read somewhere that whether or not it has the ESS chip, or something like that, depends on how well it will be compatible to play most divx movies.

Well I had a tough time locating a Pioneer 220-S at Walmart, because now they are carrying the 231-S which has fewer inputs and outputs, but I found one and it is sweet.
