Static charge on DVD media?
I use blank dvds to record tv shows using dvd/hdd(internal hard disk drive) recorder hooked up (via daisy chain) to tv.
I am fortunate enough to live in a place which provides super-cheap basic...

I have used a NAIL FILE to get ridged dvds like this to work. Not for wedding videos or anything, just when I was out of decent blank dvds and 'needed' to record a show off tv with dvd recorder.
