I have a DataVideo TBC-1000 for sale. I used it in my workflow to transfer approximately 100 tapes. It passes a clean signal through all inputs and outputs and I never had a single issue with it....

I didn’t even think about doing a different process for the D8 tapes. But that obviously makes a ton of sense. I’m going to get my FireWire setup, try a different camcorder, and then report back....

Digital8 artifacts on side of screen?

I'm trying to digitize some Digital8 tapes for a friend. I had to buy a camcorder to do this since I didn't own a camcorder capable of playing Digital8 tapes. It is a Sony DCR-TRV460.

Thanks for the reply! I do not have an oscilloscope unfortunately. However, I am fairly certain it is an official/real VHS tape because it was still shrink wrapped and the case has high quality...
