DVDWS2 is a very powerful pro program, with almost no weakness. "Almost" being the keyword. One of its few weak areas is the ability to make 16x9 widescreen menus. Personally, I don't see a problem with a 4:3 menu, with black bars on the sides. A menu is not the content, it's just something you use to navigate the content. Everything in perspective, right?

If it's really that important to you, however, and you insist on putting a widescreen menu on your DVD, then there's a hack you can do, to make 16x9 menus. I'll make an easy-to-understand single page guide sometime this year. It's on the to-do list.

But if you're in a rush to learn this now, then you can find some hack methods listed at the old Ulead forums, at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=12880

Hope that helps.

You know, I thought about this a bit more...

I've seen a lot of sites disappear through the years, including some sites with outstanding video information. I honestly don't trust Corel, and am afraid they may someday just delete those forums without prior notice.

So in the spirit of archiving valuable data, I printed those threads to PDF files, and they're being attached to this post, for your convenience.

Enjoy...
