Hello.
Take a look at this table:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D-VHS#...gth_and_speeds
5 years ago that amount of data available on backup tape would be large.
So my question is, it it possible to convert a high-end D-VHS deck to be used for computer data storage on D-VHS tapes (and maybe S-VHS)?
S-VHS tapes were made of chromium dioxide (at least BASF were), but I don't know if D were made of CrO2, or those were metal particle tapes (I think all data storage tapes were MP, so for a Digital VHS it would be logical).
I'm planning on purchasing a D-VHS deck to have something to watch original trilogy on, so I thought why not experiment with D tapes?
