Sony EV-S350 Video8 slow video playback, slow audio?

Hi guys, first post here!
I have EV-S350 Video8 Deck, after fixing guide issues with tape mech. I'm facing issue with slow playback! I cleaned-up the pinch roller to no effect !
I have 2 random Video 8 tapes, with unknown content and speed ( SP, LP... ETC )
VTR detects both as LP, I cannot force VTR into SP ( button does nothing during playback but works when tape is stopped )
I have picture output - video looks very stripy and audio is slow.
What do you think is happening here ?

Do any tapes play OK?
Does the audio sound as if exactly 1/2 speed?
Can you post a sample of the video so we can see the on screen image?
