I have a S-VHS JVC SR-V10U with the front cover missing.

Is there a way to find a replacement? Maybe from Aliexpress or Ebay? Is there a name for such part?

I'll appreciate any help!

You just have to keep looking, It is not a part that you can buy brand new, Most likely from another deck that doesn't work or someone parting out his deck.
It goes under different names, cassette door flap, cassette door, cassette compartment door ...

Possibly it's the same part on other contemporary JVC VHS models including non SVHS models. IOW there may be nothing "SVHS" about the flap, except maybe the printing on the flap. Just be aware there may also be damage to the front fascia panel to which the flap is attached.

I've got a HR-VS30u door, but one of the retaining hinge/ears is broken off... Definitely is the same as what the SR-V10 uses.

I have a V10 that happens to be apart (because it doesn't power up) - first time I'd ever seen a main filter cap go bad on a VCR, but I'm pretty sure that also killed the main switching mosfet as it just blows fuses immediately even with the cap replaced.... Going to attempt to repair that, but if I can't, I'll have that original door available.

I've attached a picture of the inside of the V10 lid with the original door in there with the VS30 door in the foreground (with the broken ear) as well as a separate picture what the deck itself looks like on the V10. Any JVC VCR with that deck most likely uses the same door mounting system and those decks were definitely used in a lot of the later JVCs. You can probably get a complete parts VCR on ebay (with a compatible door) for $40-$50 shipped, but that's quite a bit for just a door. Heres' an example of one that very likely would use the same door: https://www.ebay.com/itm/204630740466

Probably also wouldn't be too hard to 3D print a door and maybe use some sort of metal bar for the ears. The slow part with that is the designing, but if you aren't trying to match the contour of the outside of the VCR, you could just have a completely flat door and the design would become much easier.

Nope. Close, but nope.

Nope. Tiny nuances, and you don't notice at first. Been there, done that.

Eh. Material quality not at all the same. The decks are more like resin, then prints are more like cheap LEGO.

My guess is he just wants to keep dust out since he's looking on places like Alibaba, so from a functional standpoint, I don't know that material quality or contour to outside shape matters much for that application. Though for that, you could just flip down a piece of cardboard on tape hinges from the top of the machine. Now if he's trying to resell it, then then original parts would be more critical depending on the buyer.

I do kind of see what you mean though- the very top looks a bit thicker on the VS30U door, but since I haven't tried to swap them, I can't say if it would actually fit the V10.

A plain flat front door that was 3D printed could probably bypass any sort of height related fit issues since it wouldn't be trying to fill the rectangular opening to match the contour, it'd just cover the opening from the back which I believe is flat Really all that matters if if the lift portion of the door is in the same place relative to where the hinge is I think for a universal JVC door?

I've tried to swap a lot of parts, and the VS20, VS30, V10, and a few others "look" the same, but the tolerances are off by some mm. Enough to not fit, and/or not close.

Yep, keeping dust out of good.

But I'm not really confident in 3D parts for moving parts.

These obsolete parts cannot be obtained anywhere, Websites like those are too lazy to clean history, you can order it but they will cancel your order for "not in stock" reasons.
