Hi, I got FS200 in compensation, and it's in amazing condition, but with one problem. Door won't close completely (see picture). VCR is working without any problem, only door won't shut itself when tape ejects. I tried to look if something is wrong with plastic or thing like that, but it's not. That plastic white thing on the picture is blocking it from shutting all the way. I assume that's some part of mechanisam on the bottom and needs to be adjusted, but I will need guidance to figure out what. I couldn't find what to look for, do I need to disassemble the whole mechanisam or just one.

And second thing is that sponge that clean head is dirty and I don't want to remove that part I want vcr to be in factory condition I'm keeping this one to myself

Probably a rookie mistake. When you put the front panel back, lift up the tape door then fully insert the panel. That white piece on the side is supposed to lift up the door so it has to be placed correctly

Just saw video on youtube about that last night and try it and I fix it. Someone did mess with vcr before me, it was rookie mistake (easy fix). Thanks

Now only thing I need is it that new sponge. Question can I remove that complete thing with sponge and vcr would work normally until I get new one ?

Also I want to ask is it normal in panasonic vcr's that these two screws tend to sees cause in few models I just couldn't unscrew them (picture in attachment)

That white piece in your photo looks like the heads cleaner, don't put it back it does more damage to the heads than good. It's well known. People tend to remove the whole piece.

I clean the head with paper and IPA, so I can remove that part and VCR will work normally without it ?

What about those two screws I have few Panasonic with same screws seized.

Well, It wouldn't be fun If I didn't f*** something up

I was thinking that someone who messed with VCR before me didn't screw all the way this screw(see picture), but later I found out that this screw is suppost to be like that smh... and now after I clean head and everything I got this kind of situation on video (see videos)

- on first play I got black and white/color exchange white some noise and picture is flickering

https://imgur.com/ygMXcWI

- on second play it's like tracking can't control tape or something and tape stopped playing

https://imgur.com/y1PiGLs

is that screw that I idiot touched cause of this problem or is it something else ? I did manage to get it back but not sure if it's back like it was before I touched it. VCR was reproducing picture normal without any problem before I touched it.

One flex cable was unglued and kind of damaged, it was inserted but I replace cable with spare one from F70 panasonic, same pinout same number on flex cable, but different manufacturer. And now I got error on display, and when I try to insert tape it won't go inside like mechanisam is stuck or something with that error code 0AE4 on display. I don't understand why, cable is same pin identical maybe 1-2cm longer but that don't matter... and it won't go to stand by mode when I press VTR button. And some sound is coming from inside like mechanisam is trying to pull inside tape or something, but it's stuck, so I unplug it. help...

I'm a little embarrased now, I got no excuse for this lol friend took a picture. I put the cable between connector somehow

Problem was that connector is very problematic for reach to connect the cable if you don't remove the whole mechanisam.
And I didn't do that I thought that I could connect it without removing it. I was trying to connect it with spudger...and this is how I connect it But what can we do, we learn on my own mistakes I guess.

Plus that screw that I touched was tracking and audio alignment screw, and needed to be readjust again, that was also fixed. VCR is now working like a charm.

Problem SOLVED
