I have a RCA laserdisc player that worked just great, untill one day the drawer would not open. Any suggestions, I would appreciate it.. Thanks, Gary.. Sorry but I haven't figured out how to make a new post yet. I am new here...

Have you considered opening it up, and seeing if anything is broken? Many drawer assemblies on disc drives (Laserdisc, CD, DVD, etc) are reliant on a puny rubber band. Same for parts in many devices, including VCRs. As times passes, the rubber ages, and it can stretch or become brittle (and break).

It might be something that easy.
