most of my stuff has permanently installed polarized ac cords.
but a few items have removable 2 pin cords that can be put in either way on the device side.
(even thought the wall side is polarized type).

im just curious if i should mark the device side neutral/hot or am i concerned about nothing

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Related trivia:
Where I live, the have circuits upside-down because of some asinine law. AC adapters fall out of the wall sockets because of it.
Someday I'm going to have an electrician turn them all around.
