Hi all,

So in a previous thread I was deciding on a JVC PAL VCR unit, and settled on the 7600. VCR Shop had both a German (no remote) and Malaysian model (with remote), so I paid extra for the German model. However I just received the Malaysian one today

I will obviously try to exchange, but assuming they don't have the German VCR unit anymore, is there anything I should be worried about if it's made in Malaysia?

Thank you!

I wouldn't worry about it, It's a JVC factory and they use genuine JVC parts, Mine is the HR-S7600AM PAL/NTSC and I believe made in Malaysia, One of the differences you would notice is the power supply is universal vs US 120V only or Europe 220V only.

Ah okay, yeah I just wanted to make sure. Usually items coming from China/Malaysia tend to use cheaper parts and the QC is not as great - hence the worry.
They're offering me a German JVC 7700, will decide in the next day or two whether it's worth the effort to exchange.
