Hi.
My english is bad.

I have VHS NTSC imported from Quebec. Living in Europe my two video recorders are able to read NTSC in PAL 60Hz (NTSC 4.43) However there is a difference in colorimetry. I bought a Samsung SV-300W video recorder that can play NTSC 3:58 in passthrough mode.

I am looking for a PAL video recorder capable of reading NTSC 3.58 or NTSC 4.43 as faithfully as possible. Thanks

Here are my captures with "Intensity Pro 4K - Blackmagic Design" Y/C input

Your images don't show up so it's kinda hard to tell.

I'm pretty sure the JVC outputs PAL60 rather than NTSC 4.43. The two are not the same, PAL60 involves an extra step to modify the color signal while NTSC 4.43 is purely putting the color at the standard PAL frequency so the latter is more preferable if you have a deck that lets you choose between those two. It's possible the BM 4k auto-detects between them but idk since the images don't work.

I'm not sure if the TBC is active on NTSC playback on the FS200 (at least it's not on the later NV-HS1000 from what I remember). The TBC on the S9600 does work in NTSC mode. The 9600 has digital 3d chroma noise reduction and chroma sharpening if using the default settings so the color is going to look a little different on spectrums and such due to that.

For the SV-300W you can select both the system for playback and a different system for output, so if you want to avoid it doing any conversion you want to set both to the same or auto. (I've only used the newer SV-7000W so I don't know the exact stuff to press on the 300W)

Hm, the samsung one is much more saturated, not sure which is more "correct" though. The JVC and Panasonic ones also look like the area around the lights are a bit blown out so may benefit from lowering the video level a tad. Looks like the TBC on the JVC is not on maybe? None of them look like they're quite lined up well horizontally (i.e no TBC going on).

NTSC 4.43 is nowhere near to be faithful, Your Canadian NTSC VCR is the best option you got, There is no other better option. For PAL tapes just get a native PAL VCR. If you want a S-VHS VCR with built in LTBC and able to playback both NTSC 3.58 and PAL (native 525/625) there is only one model that ever existed in the whole world JVC HR-S7600AM, In the last 5 years I was only able to find two, one in China and one in Russia and I will probably beat to you to the next one (lol).
