Defects on captured VHS-C

I got some issues with captured VHS-C that seems to only happen to a few ones. See attachments.

The picture has like a yellow (neon green?) and magenta all over it, I took a fairly good screenshot so it's easy to spot.

The video shows that on some captures it has some bad movement at the bottom of the picture, while some others are stable.

It has all been captured on a LG RC389H.

Did you black out the video or that's the defect you're complaining about?

The bottom noise strip is called the head switch, it's inherit to the format, some tapes have more of it some have less, The chroma noise in low light is normal for the format, You can reduce it by having a S-VHS VCR built in line TBC and use S-Video cable instead of composite.

Yeah I blacked out the rest of the frame, and damn I was hoping that it would just be some dirt on the tapes that I could clean. So it's called chroma noise and I can reduce it with better equipment, how do I connect it to my PC so I can transfer it though?

What are you using now? Recording into DVD discs, that explain some of the poor quality you're getting. A S-VHS VCR with line TBC has a DNR function tight to the TBC that cleans up some of that nasty noise, It works 90% of the time but there are tapes that don't cooperate with TBC being on.
