Just bought a Datavideo Dn-500 and a Dn-700 for video capture. Any thoughts on using these?
Im using either a sr-vs30, s7800u or ag1980 to capture from.

That's a DV recorder, Does it have passthrough capability?

That's an old DV appliance, and I'd suggest avoiding that entirely.

#1 - It's just DV (consumer DV25), so lossy -- worse quality then modern USD cards, using lossless codecs.

#2 - Good luck getting the XP era software/drivers to work in Win8/10/11, and maybe not even Vista/7. If I'm going to go to the effort of building an XP system, it'd better be something good like an ATI AIW.
